To ensure the art form doesn’t become a museum relic, we work to make Mithila art relevant, exciting, and accessible to the youth of the region.
Teaching young artists how to use digital tools to archive their family's unique motif libraries.
Providing financial support to talented young artists to keep them in school while they pursue their artistic training.
Developing curricula that bring local folk art history into the classroom, fostering cultural pride from an early age.
Empowering women to become primary earners gives them a stronger voice in family and community decision-making.
Our programs reduce the financial pressure on families, allowing children (especially girls) to stay in school longer.
As women achieve professional success, they naturally step into leadership roles as mentors and community organizers.
By engaging youth, we ensure that Mithila art evolves and incorporates modern themes, keeping the culture alive and breathing.
At the institutional and national level, the organization engages with academic and cultural bodies such as Rajarshi Janak University and the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, contributing to exhibitions, training initiatives, and broader cultural discourse in Kathmandu. These collaborations help position Mithila art as a significant part of Nepal’s contemporary art landscape.
At the international level, Youth’s Enthusiasm partners with global and diaspora organizations including Mithila Center USA, enabling international exhibitions, artist exchanges, and cultural diplomacy initiatives that bring Nepali Mithila art to wider audiences. Through its work, Youth’s Enthusiasm functions as an artist development hub, training institution, and cultural platform, supporting both traditional practices and contemporary adaptations of Mithila art across murals, textiles, design, and public art. Its mission is grounded in the belief that Mithila art is a living cultural system—one that continues to shape identity, empower communities, and connect local heritage with global creative expression.
